Danfoss Temperature Sensors Danfoss temperature sensors are based on decades of global experience within the marine industry and in refrigeration plants - undoubtedly some of the toughest environments around. Danfoss sensor and transmitter ranges are designed for heavy-duty applications.
Danfoss offer a versatile range of high quality temperature sensors for a multitude of applications. A temperature sensor is giving a continuous output following the actual temperature in the system, making it possible to have the process in tight control. Depending on which sensing technology is needed, the output signal from the Danfoss sensor can be: -Ohm, RTD, NTC/PTC -Voltage, Thermocouples -mA/Voltage, transmitters RTD elements (Resistance Temperature Detectors) – either Pt 100 or Pt 1000 – are accurate, stable and cover a broad temperature range. Additionally, Danfoss RTD temperature sensors offer fast response times thanks to innovative design, replacing the traditional ceramic element with a thin-film element in a built in construction. NTC’s are thermistors with Negative Temperature Characteristics while PTC’s are thermistors with Positive Temperature Characteristics. Both thermistor types are well suited for use with customized controllers and meet demands for sensors in large quantities. The thermistor is able to detect minute changes in temperature, due to the fact that the negative temperature characteristics can be as large as several percent per degree Celcius. Irrespective of your applications and technological requirements, Danfoss is capable of meeting your demands with a versatile range of standard temperature sensors as well as customized sensors designed according to your specifications.
Danfoss AKS temperature sensor series is recommended for accurate temperature measurement such as e.g. superheating, food safety logs and other important temperature measurements.
Danfoss MBT temperature sensor range provide a dynamic measurement of temperature utilising PT100 Platinum Resistance technology. The PT100 element is an industry standard sensor, giving a 100 Ohms resistance at 0C and 138.4 Ohms at 100C with near liner characteristic. Danfoss sensors are calibrated to provide high accuracy and have a fast reaction to temperature change.
Temperature transmitter options convert the PT100 output to a mA signal. The advantage of a Danfoss temperature sensor is that it gives a system very tight control with a continuous output following the actual temperature in the system - Danfoss MBT 9100. The MBT 9110 can be used together with all types of MBT Danfoss sensors, Pt100 as well as Thermo couple. |
